OT3 (PbSb3) anodes for electroplating
A lead alloy with three percent antimony. In an electroplating shop one thing matters about it: chemical stability, which keeps the current even and the coating uniform.
What they are for
OT3 anodes are part of the electroplating process - coating metal objects with a protective layer. They work in the plating bath as the electrode that determines how the current is distributed across the surface of the part.
Coating quality depends directly on anode quality: an anode that corrodes unevenly or conducts unstably produces a coating of varying thickness.
Properties
- Strength - resistant to aggressive chemicals, which lets them work in demanding industrial conditions
- Chemical stability - the stable structure of the alloy ensures even current distribution during the process, and so a uniform, durable coating
- Range of sizes - produced in various formats, matched to the tank and to the specific process
Where they end up
OT3 anodes work in electroplating shops serving the production of metal goods - from automotive parts, through sanitary fittings, to electronic components. A coating applied by electroplating increases corrosion resistance and improves the appearance of the product.
What we supply
As standard we offer OT3 (PbSb3) anodes measuring 8 × 200 × 2,000 mm. We also make other sizes - if your tank or process calls for a different format, please let us know the dimensions and quantity.
Need the material, or some advice?
We will match the thickness and form of the material to the Pb equivalent in your design, cut it to size and ship it across Europe. For non-standard shapes a drawing or a .dxf file is all we need.
