The basic material for fixed shielding against X-ray radiation. Also used as counterweights and in other industrial applications.
Lead sheets are used as protection against higher levels of X-ray radiation - in walls, doors and viewing windows of X-ray and CT rooms. Beyond radiation protection they serve well as counterweights and ballast in industry.
Standard thicknesses are 2.5 - 5.0 mm. We cut sheets to the exact size you specify. For a better finish, sheets can be supplied with a coloured coating, or laminated on one or both sides with aluminium or stainless steel.
On request we also supply sheets and plates in the purer lead grade Pb99.97.

Lead weighs 11.34 kg per cubic decimetre. The weight determines how a consignment is packed and what the transport costs.
We cut to any size on waterjet machines, and for thinner gauges with a circular saw made for lead. The cutting tolerance is ±1.0 mm.
Besides cutting we offer machining - turning, boring and milling - and metal forming: folding, bending and profiling.
Where the lead cannot be covered - on a door, for instance - it can be painted with a dedicated primer enamel. The colour is chosen freely from the RAL range.
Smaller quantities - no enquiry needed, straight from the shop. Each item is 1 m².
The type of material, the thickness and the dimensions are enough. If you need a non-standard shape, send a drawing - we accept .dxf files and dimensioned sketches.
